After many brides asking me: "Where to begin? Who should I book for make up? Where do I start looking for a dress - buy or make??" Every new bride can feel totally overwhelmed with the thought of starting off the process of finding the perfect mix of wedding service providers for their wedding day. To get you started, this is my list of Recommended Service Providers, people I trust to give you the best service on your wedding day. Some of these worked with me on my wedding day, others I've worked alongside on my brides' wedding days or come highly recommended in the industry.
Before you get started clicking through all the links I will provide, have you thought about your budget and how you will be planning it? What percentage goes to stationery & decor, a photographer, a venue?
Decide with your fiance what are the most important aspects of your day whether it be dress, hair and make up and venue or photographer, decor and music. These become your "non-negotiables" and will be the elements of your day that you spend on.
To give you a rough idea on a standard budget, one where you have not yet decided which elements will be "non-negotiable", your venue inclusive of food and (if you're having an) open bar, should constitute 40 - 50% of your budget. Photography, dress & suit, stationery & decor, music should be about 10-15% of the budget each.
As mentioned though if Music, Attire and Stationery & Decor are the "non-negotiables" for you, these percentages will be adjusted accordingly.
